DESIGN NAME: Guohua Financial Center
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Public Space
INSPIRATION: The client wanted the space not only to be an office space, but also to host art and cultural exhibitions. Therefore, modern art sculpture is the inspiration for the space. We extracted the broken line elements of the sculpture to create a public space that is different from the traditional office space.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This is a public space for an office building. The project is located in the North Bund of Shanghai, Facing the Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone across the river to the south, you can have a panoramic view of the skyscrapers on the opposite side.The whole space revolves around the functions of shared space: meeting room, coffee bar, art hall and other basic office functions.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: We create a public space that is different from the traditional office space.The space not only to be an office space, but also to host art and cultural exhibitions. At the same time,provide a place for leisure and communication who are in the office building.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in April 2022 in Shanghai and finished in August 2022 in Shanghai, and was opend in Shanghai in October 2022.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: For the art hall in the airyard, we used mirror stainless steel to build the ceiling.The mirror ceiling further elongates and deepens the effect of space, enriching the visual level.The floor to ceiling Windows look across the Lujiazui Finance and Trade Zone, offering a view of the city.The main light fiber optic art installation enhances the artistry of the space.

CHALLENGE: The biggest challenge is spatial irregularity. Through reasonable spatial planning and layout, all functional Spaces are arranged, and through the organization of spatial streamline, functional planes are formed to meet functional requirements.
