PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Hair Salon
INSPIRATION:
Inspired by spa experience for hair dressing, the design enhances this luxurious journey with atmosphere of indulgence. White sheer curtain softens the space and mood with cosy-ness. Timber look tiles add extra comfort-ness. The full height triptych mirrors enhance the spacious-ness. An over-sized round mirror outside of the washing area acts as the as the visual and physical barrier for the area, as well as the iconic feature of the brand.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Concept of Salon Trinity is to create a spa experience for hair dressing, the escape from urban. The relax yet revitalized contemporary interior design not only enhances the aesthetics, also provide a journey with atmosphere of indulgence.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
Before starting the actual design, rounds of brainstorming and research with the client to understand actual operation of hair dressing has been done. The breakthrough design in setting and layout is not compromising but enhancing the existing and standard perception of the industry general practice. With incorporating the innovative concept, design team created the interior with special feature. Project manager involved the progress then during the whole manufacturing and construction.

The project started in Jun 2022 and finished in September 2022 in Hong Kong

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
This unique design was made from the concept of a spa. Then the function of hair dressing salon are input for operational requirement. Therefore the style and accent is special, unlike other salon in general.

CHALLENGE:
The challenge is on the layout planning and design to fit the operation needs. The space is in triangular shaped. Each seat needs to be arranged smartly in order to provide sufficient operation space, as well as the flow of circulation. In addition, the triptych feature mirror also has incorporated with concealed lighting and table in front for fulfilling practicality.

Salon Trinity is a luxurious hair dressing brand with another level of service like a spa experience.
Studio Melt, the interior designer, is an award winning studio bases in Hong Kong. The founder Alvin Lee has over 24 years’ experience in the design and building industry, he has participated and finished more than 200 projects.
Most of the projects are located in Hong Kong, China, and Asia Pacific. Variety covers residential, commercial, retail, office, hospitality, F&B, and public art installation, in both architectures and interiors. The clients are from private to developers and corporate
such as Nike, Kerry Properties, Swire, Chinachem, LVMH etc. Some of the projects received awards from worldwide in architecture and interiors categories from A’ Design Awards in Italy, Germany Design Awards, Outstanding Property Award London, Paris Design Award, A&D Design Awards in China, Hong Kong Institute of Architects, American Institute of Architects, Hong Kong Interior Design Association, Hong Kong Designers Association etc.
