| DESIGN NAME: The Stroke PRIMARY FUNCTION: Typographic Coffee Mug INSPIRATION: The 'sine qua non’ of digital living thanks to e-mail addresses and social media handles, the at symbol has been proclaimed by Moma as “the defining symbol of the computer age”. This coffee mug provides a deep soulful spirit with an eclectic mix of type, industrial design, and long experimentation. An homage to humanity’s universal need for connectivity, unity, and peace, whilst blessed by the Golden Ratio principle. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This is an extra fine porcelain product designed under the golden ratio principle to provide aesthetics and functionality that adhere to strict mathematical laws as well as a hands-on balanced experience. From the proportions of nautilus shells through tree leaves, pine cone seeds or sunflower spirals to the work of trailblazing artists like Le Corbusier and Salvador Dali, the golden ratio conquered the world of aesthetics as a proportion by default pleasing to the eye. This mug is a typographic object of desire and one that introduces its owner to a symbol of celestial importance across the passage of time, implementing a unique stroke that terminates with a sharp slit into the porcelain. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Made with extra fine white porcelain. Matte on the outside, glossy on the inside. Letteres (the brand name of these products) signature logo silkscreen printed in silver on the inner side. This mug is delivered inside its own custom box, which is made out of recycled brown, white and black paper. The package includes a booklet with full description, historical references, production process and specifications.
