| DESIGN NAME: AMP Extreme Airo PRIMARY FUNCTION: Graphics Card INSPIRATION: The design of the ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 40 Series AMP Extreme AIRO is inspired by aerodynamic concepts with a balanced design of function and form. It incorporates an AIR-Optimized design for maximum airflow efficiency with ventilation paths on all sides, so airflow can maneuver and be expelled in all directions, reducing trapped heat to ensure maximum performance. The iridescent and translucent finish of the RGB presence are inspired by the captivating visual and colors of the Aurora Borealis lights. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Inspired by aerodynamic concepts, the ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 40 Series AMP Extreme AIRO utilizes an AIR-Optimized design to bring out the best in the world’s most advanced gaming GPU, powered by the NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture. The AIR-Optimized design brings upward efficiencies in airflow, noise levels, and durability for maximum gaming graphics performance. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The product is designed with minimal need for user interaction. Its efficient heat pipes, fans, exhaust, and aerodynamic shape offer maximum airflow expulsion and heat transfer, guaranteeing that thermal overhead stays low under heavy loads. Users can fine-tune the lighting pattern of the product via a special software to perfectly match their PC builds. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: Design planning of the project started in September 2021 in Hong Kong. Manufacturing begun in June 2022 in China. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: LED Panel: Iridescent-decorated plastic frame, fabricated using in-mold decoration technology with integrated ARGB LED lighting. Cover: Injection molded using transparent plastic, with metallic gun-metal and silver spray paint coating. Laser etching applied to specific areas to enable light transmission. Heat pipes: 9-piece composite layered heat pipes, precision-machined. Vapor chamber: Nickel-plated copper plate construction. Fans: Dual ball bearing fans. Backplate: Solid die-cast metal. Spectra: 5 distinct zones for lighting effects. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The ZOTAC GAMING GeForce RTX 40 Series AMP Extreme AIRO is our flagship product. Powered by the NVIDIA Ada Lovelace architecture, these graphics cards are designed to provide up to 2x power efficiency, AI accelerated features, and real time ray tracing with unparalleledperforma TAGS: Aerodynamic, Futuristic, Different, Streamline, Sports car, Airflow RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Primary research: conduct surveys, use the product directly to collect data such as frame rate, noise level, etc. Secondary research: Employing secondary sources such as reviews, research reports and comments from the internet, famous websites and forums, and comparing our design to the competitors' products. Objectives: To improve the product's functions, by introducing new features and specifications. Methodology: Extensive data and information gathering, in order to identify gaps in current products and improve upon existing designs. CHALLENGE: The utilization of a completely new molding technique entireurrencethe biggest challenge of the project. As space in computer ases are often very limited, every inch should be used efficiently. With In-mold decorating technology, the plastic and printing can be finished inside the mold in one shot, thus making the outcome thinner and more precise. However, to get a good result many trials and errors had to be done. After several months and testing dozens of samples, our hard work was rewarded as we successfull achieved the desired outcome.
