| DESIGN NAME: Friends PRIMARY FUNCTION: Sofa INSPIRATION: Inspired by a necessity for an informal and relaxed piece of furniture where we could see each other, face to face, creating more connection and a friendly environment. A very important piece of the house but with a strong emotional approach. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The purpose of a sofa is to provide a safe and comfortable place to relax, but Friends Sofa was designed to accommodate the user in an unusual and more friendly position: face to face. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The piece invites the user to enjoy it in a more intimate and friendly way. You can sit or lie down, by yourself or with your friends and family. The table serves to accommodate some glasses or books and make your moment even more comfortable. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in October 2022 in London and it will be finished in July 2023 in Sao Paulo, Brazil. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Furniture Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Handmade upholstery and wood side table. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The sofa can be customized. The suggested measures are 2400 x 1900mm x 850mm. Also, being recognized in important design awards including A Design Award, and German Design Award Nominee. Roberta Rampazzo designs her own range for many established brands, including Decameron, Firma Casa, Mosarte, Objekto, Vermeil, and many others. Products have been traded in high-end stores in several countries. Currently living in London, Roberta is continuing her creative work researching new technologies and materials, developing new products, and fostering relationships with new companies. |
