INSPIRATION:
Nature and climate change inspired Sacred Heart a surreal art piece. During the JCK Show 2022 in Las Vegas, Nevada(USA), I had the opportunity to compare the South-West dry desert landscape to the South-East colorful lush green mountains of Tennessee(USA). This brooch embodies hope and love for all types of nature. The piece represents the connection of a pure heart to save nature and to grow climate change awareness.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The brooch has the anatomical shape of the heart representing a love for nature. The heart is coupled with black pearls to exemplify the destruction of the forest and the connection to climate change. The main brooch piece is linked with a chain to the flower shape diamond setting. The yellow sapphires signify hope and the green marquises represent the forest.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
This piece can be worn as a brooch or pendant depending on the occasion. The unique part about this jewel is that the heart piece can be separated from the chain and flower setting using the lobster hook. When separated, the heart piece can be worn as a pendant or just brooch. The jewel looks fabulous on women and men.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project Started in mid-August 2022 in Carlsbad, California (USA) and the final piece was made in Knoxville Tennessee (USA) on September 20, 2022.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
The entire piece is created using 3D Rhinoceros 7 software and Zbrush. It can be 3D Printed to create a castable wax or resin. After the mold is created, it is casted in 18k yellow gold. The setting is polished and then the diamonds and pearls are ready to be set in the shared prongs. The yellow sapphire weight is 1.14 Ct and is a round brilliant cut. Total green round diamond weighs 0.75 Ct in brilliant cut and the total marquise green diamond weighs 0.84 Ct. The brooch chain is a separate purchase depending on customer preference
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES:
The heart size is 29.15 x 12.52x 79.321 millimeters and with the bail and brooch pin. The flower size is 16.00 x 4.00 x 16.00 millimeters. The chain length can be adjusted per customer preference. The weight of the heart is 33.835g and the weight of the flower pin is 5.50g

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
I researched many images of the human heart in order to create an organic shape in the jewel. I also searched trending jewelry pieces in the youth. I recognized unisex jewelry is very popular for youth who are very enthusiastic in wearing light jewelry pieces.
CHALLENGE:
The main challenge was creating an organic heart shape jewel and maintaining the elegance of the piece. I combined two different programs to create the heart shape. I designed the basic heart shape in the 3D software Rhinoceros 7, and then edited the file in the Zbrush software to develop organic heart shape. After creating the organic shape, I brought the file back in the 3D software Rhinoceros 7 to create the diamond and pearl settings to make a final piece.
