| DESIGN NAME: Ivau PRIMARY FUNCTION: Apparel and Baby Wrap Collection INSPIRATION: If a woman gives birth to three children, that is 10 years in her life when carrying an infant and nursing take centre stage. The fourth trimester should be one of the most beautiful moments in motherhood but it is currently overlooked. Yet, newborn bonding is vital in every family relationship. There is no apparel collection that is tailored to address the need of style-conscious mothers to carry a child fashionably after birth. So we pioneer fashionable babywearing with matching apparel and carriers to rediscover the most beautiful moment in motherhood, bonding with your newborn. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Magic staple pieces fuse functionality with effortless chic style, designed to be worn beautifully through stages of womanhood. Inspired by the pristine nature of Fiji, our hand-painted bespoke prints bring spellbinding beauty of nature into daily wearing through imaginative creativity and exquisite artistry. Our fashionable babywearing collection include matching loungewear set, dress, baby romper and wraps. From easy nursing to comfort of layering, every detail is considered to create fashionable garments that are practical, effortlessly chic and making babywearing convenient, comfortable and stylish. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Fashionable Babywearing collection enables women to establish the essential bond with their newborns in style and comfort. The apparel collection can be worn through stages of womanhood. As maternity clothing, they are nursing and pregnancy friendly. They are especially comfortable to layer under a wrap when carrying an infant as the apparel design takes into consideration the comfort of baby wearing. The garments use the same all season, lightweight fabric as the wrap that is breathable and anti-bacterial. The dress has an ultra-low back cut so the user does not feel too hot when layered during wearing. Both the dress and loungewear top can facilitate nursing without taking off the wrap. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Custom-milled sustainable bamboo fabric is chosen for the collection as it is luxuriously soft and easily wrinkle free, effortless to take care of for a busy mother. Our fabric is OEKO-TEX Made in Green and Standard 100 certified to the world's strictest chemical safety and sustainable production standard for textiles. Naturally anti-bacterial, breathable and hypoallergenic, the garments are suitable all season. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Loungewear collection has sizes from S, M, L, to XL. Dress has two sizes S/M and L/XL. Baby rompers range from 0-24 month while baby wrap is one size. TAGS: Maternity fashion, loungewear, baby wearing, fourth trimester, effortless chic RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Creation of this collection took years of babywearing experience to know what garment works with baby wrap and what does not. For example, we would not make a jumpsuit because it is just not practical when babywearing. Our dress for example has ultra low back cut for the comfort of layering with a wrap. All of our garments are nursing friendly while babywearing. CHALLENGE: The hardest part is to create timeless pieces that can be worn beautifully through stages of womanhood. We want the silhouette to be easy to wear but head turning at the same time.
