PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Electric Motorcycle
INSPIRATION:
inspired by the famous American motorcycle Chaos. A classic motorcycle from the 60's. An American design icon. The icon motorcycle was a "darling" among American motorcycle drivers for a decade of time. In this version we have brought the design from 1960 into 2022 by doing an electric version. It is conected to a cloud universe by an IOT device to do a better service on the vehicle
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Chaos was a very famous gasoline motorcycle in the 1960. It was made by an American maker. We have taken the gasoline motorcycle and made it ready for 2022 by doing an electric version. This electric version has a range of 250 km and a topspeed of 160 km an hour fully electric with a 10kw battery. It is connected by IOT to a cloud system in order to do a better service system for the vehicle. The design has obtained the EUIPO and USPTO design protection and world wide patent
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
This electric bicycle is very easy to operate. When you push the pedal it automatically transform into an electric assisted bicycle. On the display you can follow your speed and the autonomy of the battery.

Full carbon frame - fully integrated carbon motor bracket. Fully integrated handlebar and cockpit in Carbon. One of the worlds lightest fully integrated electric bikes with a high torque rear-motor.

95 Kg / Length 195 cm x Hight 110 cm x width 70 cm / Package luxury cartonage / Technical property: Probably the lightest electric bicycle in the market. Motor integrated fully in the frame. Battery fully integrated in the frame. Control cockpit fully integrated into the frame. USB connector for external devices. Motor the bike by a personal app for iPhone.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
Our research is based on insights from end consumers. The end consumers was missing a holistic designed electric motorcycle in the market. Normally electric motorbikes are not that beautiful. You will see external battery boxes. External motors and external cables. But in our Nimbus case all is extremely well integrated.
CHALLENGE:
The biggest challenge was that there was no components available. Because of idea to integrate all items we had to make many of the parts from scratch. For instanse the battery and the display is totally new developments for this project only.

Diavelo is a Danish design studio. The Creative Director Mr. Brian Hoehl is one of the most wellknow designers in the world for electric bicycles. We work for many automotive companies all over the world. Our design philosophy is to integrate parts in our design as much as possible in order to create a holistic design. Another discipline that we master is to ingrate design DNA from existing brands into new developments and concepts. Diavelo is one of the most or probably the most award winning studio in the world designing electric bicycles.
