| DESIGN NAME: Sunmoon PRIMARY FUNCTION: Tea Shop INSPIRATION: According to the current situation of this case, pure and simple elements such as rusted iron, solid wood and concrete floors are used to emphasize the traces of time while preserving the existing parts of building. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Retain existing roof tiles and loess bricks and integrated with modern materials.Parts of the solid wood table is spliced with the existing wooden beams to make the new one. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The plants on the solid wood handle is designed to represent whether the store is open or not. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in May 2018 and finished in August 2019 in Nantou County,TW. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The main materials are rusted iron, solid wood and concrete floors. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Indoor space: 45 square meters, outdoor space: 24 square meters.Equipped with bar, seating area, sales area and toilets. TAGS: MUYU Design, MUYU Interior Design, Sunmoon TeaShop, Blending old and new, Space Transformation, Localization RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Based on traditional building materials, it is integrated into the local tea culture. CHALLENGE: Because the structure of the building was old and weak, the structure was reinforced with H-beams when a hole was dug in the wall between the two warehouses.
