| DESIGN NAME: Blossom Wonder PRIMARY FUNCTION: Interactive Installation INSPIRATION: Based on the concept of "flower cultivation", the natural energy of plants is expressed through digital art, which shows the vitality of flowers and introduces a new intelligent ecology to the traditional natural garden. In addition to the innate beauty of certain flowers, the intrinsic nature of flowers also satisfies the deeper needs of people. And Blossom Wonder conveys positive psychological energy by customizing flowers through interaction with visitors. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This is an interactive art installation based on the concept of "flower cultivation", which perfectly integrates digital creativity and realistic scenes, introducing a new intelligent ecology to the traditional natural garden. Meanwhile, Blossom Wonder shows the natural vitality of plants and flowers, and through the expression of life messages and energy, it may be inspiring for viewers and allow each one to gain energy through a healing experience. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: As the core highlight of this installation, the interaction design establishes a connection between the flowers and the reactions and state of mind of visitors. We selected the seven flowers from the "flower cultivation" concept as the medium for artistic expression and to reflect different emotional and health states. After interacting with the Blossom Wonder, the user generates their own flowers on their mobile phone, which can be pointed at the device's sensors and have the flowers presented and blossomed in the center of the screen, mapping the visitor's state of mind at the moment. By creating users a comfortable activity environment, exclusive spiritual healing benefits can be delivered to users. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in February 2022 in Hangzhou and finished in June 2022 in Hebei, and was exhibited in Ovation Seven-Cultivation Hotel in June 2022. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The design team creates an ideal model by using parametric modeling and the characteristics of the ultra-high definition LED flexible screen to create dynamic and rhythmic curves inspired by the shape of the flower. With the seamless stitching of the mirror stainless steel and the screen, the device offers an infinite extension of the visual effect. The visual feeling of resembling a flower but not just a flower offers viewers to increase the surreal sense of the device. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Width2000mm x Depth2000mm x Height2700mm TAGS: immersive, installation, interaction RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Our research goal is to explore the connection between flowers and human behavior and mood. By collecting a large number of pictures of different kinds of flowers, the color and texture are extracted. We will integrate the collected information in Touch Designer, and finally transform it into visual content to present to the audience, so that they can feel the influence of flowers on them through Blossom Wonder. CHALLENGE: As the industry's first LED hyperbolic interactive art device, this project achieves an innovative breakthrough in new materials and matches the entire environment in terms of shape, structure and display content. Therefore, the world's first multi-dimensional, a multi-sensory digital immersive garden is created. With the interactive design as the core, Blossom Wonder establishes a connection between the seven-colored flowers and visitors' behavior and state of mind to satisfy their visual aesthetic and spiritual needs.
