PRIMARY FUNCTION: Electric Folding Scooter
INSPIRATION: As green mobility footprint is increasingly and widely featuring in our everyday lives more and more, Libra12 is part of a product line which promotes the environmental sustainability whilst never forgetting the non-stop desire to be innovative.
The inspiring idea behind the Libra12 electric scooter comes from the necessity of a stable and safe means to explore the world while carefully respecting it.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Libra12 is a unique three-wheels electric folding scooter with the main aim to combine design, performance and safety into one product, being environmental-friendly.
Thanks to its eye-catching design, three solid tires, motor and battery, the e-scooter grants high performances for daily commute and an excellent stability while riding it.
With folding technology, the Libra12 can be completely and easily folded to be carried in the trunk of the car.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The Libra12 is an electric scooter easy to ride thanks to its strong three wheels which ensure good road holding and safety on all types of streets. Through its folding mechanism, it can be carried anywhere or fit in any car trunk.
In few hours, the battery of the electric scooter will be fully charged and ready for the next journey.
It is easy for the user to move around the traffic thanks to the three thick wheels and to its stability.
The dashboard keeps updated the rider about the electric scooter status, displaying main data such as battery level and switch of the lights.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in Milano (Italy) in September 2022. The product will be displayed at IFA Show in Berlin (September 2023). It is going to be distributed in the major countries all over the world.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The Libra12 was projected paying attention to the technical specifications, such as suspensions, motor and battery capacity, and to the electric parts safe protection. Thanks to the powerful 48V 20Ah battery and the 350W motor, this electric scooter reaches high performances from the first use and grants safety and protection to the user according to European EN17128 standards.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The core element of the Libra12 is the three fat wheels which ensure stability on any type of road thanks to their thickness and dimensions, particularly useful also to people with motor disabilities. The dimensions of the electric scooter are 112x51x115 cm. The maximum loading weight of the final user is 100kg. The dashboard helps the rider to keep everything under control, showing essential functions (such as current speed, battery level etc.), so as the LED lights which increase the on-road visibility. The magnesium frame makes the scooter resistant and light, so to be carried anywhere thanks also to its foldable mechanism.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The project has been developed to launch a high-quality and functional folding electric scooter, which reflects the main features of the electric mobility line: environmental-friendly sustainability, style and innovation.
The aim is to combine a detailed design with the green technology to create a product not only of easy and safe handling but also of high performances.
CHALLENGE: The creative challenge of this project was to develop an electric three wheels folding scooter which may convey at first sight to the final user attitude of stability and a modern design and geometry. It is ideal for those riders who don't want to renounce to a safe driving while benefitting of an attractive style.
