| DESIGN NAME: Qionghua Jiuzhang Mansion PRIMARY FUNCTION: Model House INSPIRATION: What is a luxury residence? Revolving around this question, the designer’s goal is to make the product more powerful and to give the user a wonderful experience. The comprehensive conditions and features of the project have been fully taken into account by the designer throughout the design process. In an endeavor to convey the pleasures of life and the resonance of the circle, a home with taste and quality is ultimately built by fusing nature, art, and life with current techniques. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Using the oriental gardening technique, the designer has placed water, trees, rocks, and trails in the room, together with the water rippled mirror, fusing nature and art to produce a relaxing atmosphere in the space. The entrance corner of the master room is turned into a quiet place for reading, echoing the residents' pursuit of breaking away from the norm. And the 90-degree panoramic floor-to-ceiling windows brings sound light and energy into the room. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Every item from the photos and wall paintings in the art corridor to the ornaments and collectibles on the bookshelves and desks, reflects the tastes, interests, and aesthetic perceptions of the residents. The kitchen island countertop, leather dining chairs, crisscrossing art lighting, abstract oil paintings, and floral art in bottles present beauty and art. Functional needs and aesthetic ambience is achieved through the combination of modeling art and quality furniture. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Metal, marble, wood art, leather SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Project Area: 346 square meters TAGS: James Liu, Mansion, Art, Nature RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Qionghua Jiuzhang is located in the traditional wealthy area in Jinan, surrounded by mountains on three sides. Thus, mountains serve as the inspiration for the architecture. Following the natural terrain, it is the first step-type large flat in the air that can overlook mountains. It aims to strike a balance between the gentleman's advancement and a life of leisure and isolation, while achieving the aspiration of the oriental humans to live in harmony with heaven. CHALLENGE: The luxury dwelling is defined not only by the great worth of the property and the owner, but also by the level of aesthetic harmony and coherence in its surroundings. By measuring the features of materials, techniques of craftsmanship, the interest of artwork, the scale of layout and diversified activities, the designer combines the human action line, circle socialization and spatial experience to sublimate the ritual of returning home and evoke people’s imagination for a better life.
