DESIGN NAME:
Innature

PRIMARY FUNCTION:
House

INSPIRATION:
The inspiration of interior architect Jennifer Junek is based on three foundations: the inspirational life of Eli Junnek, the values that she created for the design: the well-being of the human being. Now, technically, as an interior architect, the projection of a glass prism surrounded by nature marked the beginning of this adventure. Then, the needs of a moderm women, served as inspiration for the conceptual of clean work

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The starting point for this project is wellness, intending to develop a house with 4 fundamental pillars: sustainability, technology, luxury, and comfort. As a first idea, the designer created a glass prism where the kitchen/dining room, bedroom, and bathroom were installed to be protected from the environment in a single integrated space of 44 square meters. The main terrace was created where the living room is located, a secondary terrace where the barbecue, a bar area, and the hydroponic garden are.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
We enter through a sloping ramp that gives access to pedestrians and disabled people made of microcement. On the terrace, covered with wood, is the living room with a sofa, armchair, fireplace, coffee table and hidden television protected by a stretched fabric held in place by 4 points. Entering the 44m glass box is the kitchen, master bedroom and bathroom, all integrated. All the partition walls open up to integrate the terraces into the glass box and create a unified space.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project started in February 2022 in Lima and ended in May 2022 in Lima. It was exhibited especially for Casacor Peru from May to July 2022. The Exhibition of the house was for 1 month and a half from May 24th to July 3rd 2022.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
The exploratory research was carried out by Jennifer Junek. The aim was to gather information about Eli Junek, the impact on post-pandemic mental health and the client. The methodology was interviews with experts and users. In-depth interviews with clients and specialists and desk research were used. By the end, Jennifer was clear about what she had to design to meet the user's need by triangulating wellbeing, comfort and technology.

CHALLENGE:
The biggest challenge was to best manage the budget available for the construction and the time to build it. Building a house from scratch in 8 weeks with lack of staff due to the pandemic in Peru, problems importing building materials was a big challenge. Thanks to the leadership and experience of the interior architect, Jennifer Junek , it was possible to make it happen. As a result, the house won the 2022 CasaCor Awards.
