| DESIGN NAME: Chandelier Type PRIMARY FUNCTION: Range Hood INSPIRATION: Influenced by the traditional industrial range hood and inspired by reverse wine glass, this muti-functional product meets the needs of modern users and minimizes the number of equipment users have to purchase, improving the overall kitchen and home atmosphere. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: As an integration of purifying cooking oil fume and lighting, this light range hood aims to become a flexible and muti-functional device for purifying fume. This product has a unique working style with functions, such as fume purification, air filtration, entertainment, atmosphere lights and music to fulfill diverse needs. The light appearance with transparent material and glossy finish can fit into different kitchen decoration styles flexibly. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: As an intelligent kitchen appliance, the functions of the product, such as oil fume suction, air purification, atmosphere lights and speakers, can be controlled intelligently with APP, gesture and voice. The basic structure is hidden inside the product. When the user produces oil smoke from cooking, the product will automatically turn on the oil fume purification mode with the easy-to-replace internal activated carbon module absorbing fumes and odors in the air. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project was designed at Tianmei Electric R&D Center in Zhongshan, Guangdong Province, in February 2022, and launched in China in June 2022. At present, most range hoods on the market are bulky and industrial style without emotional appeal, unfit to the purchase preference of users in Gen Z. The original intention when designing this product is to break the traditional industrial style and enhance the human interaction experience. CHALLENGE: The challenge in the design process: balancing functions and aesthetic characteristics while integrating diverse features and ensuring that each feature is maximized. The overall shape of the wine cup ensures the reasonable arrangement of various functions and hides the functional modules to smooth and complete the visual effect, so as to integrate into the diversified modern decoration atmosphere.
