| DESIGN NAME: Racer PRIMARY FUNCTION: Toy INSPIRATION: Toy vehicles and construction toys are popular choices for millions of children across the world. Racer is a product that children and adults who love cars can interact and enjoy together. The design inspiration is from the early Formula 1 racing car but with a modern minimalist aesthetics. Sleek and speedy racing car design is perfect gift for relatives or friends. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Racer is a great collection for children and collectors with a deep interest in automotive. Racer is a constructive magnetic toy that allows customers to design and personalize their own collection. Racer is also an ornamental toy that looks incredible on a desk, a table, or a wall shelf. Racer is a luxurious toy for children made from long-lasting materials like ABS plastic with a UV-resistant paint finish and FDA-compliant urethane rubber tires. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Racer is a constructive magnetic toy that allows customers to design and personalize their own collection. Each part connected by a magnet can be easily disassembled and reassembled into parts of a desired color. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in May 2021 in Seoul, Korea. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: 3D modeling with Solidworks; Rendering with Keyshot; Prototype with Form 3 printer from Formlabs SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Product: 235mm x 125mm x 75mm Package: 250mm x 130mm x 80mm sleeve box TAGS: Toys, Cars, Solidworks, Keyshot, 3D Print RESEARCH ABSTRACT: - CHALLENGE: A lot of effort went into researching a design that did not require screws and had no visible parting lines. On top of that, spending a lot of time making numerous prototypes to find the right specifications was the most challenged part.
