| DESIGN NAME: Interweaving Workplace PRIMARY FUNCTION: Commercial INSPIRATION: We gained inspiration from the business nature of the company, a start-up company of AI and 5G industry which is young and energetic. Through our design, a layout with two angled paths, we sought to project a home-office and friendly working environment, rather than a futuristic high-tech image. For the visitors, we have created an easy-access and open environment with ample sunlight and connectivity, at the time maintained a sense of privacy for the staffs. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Situated at the Hong Kong Science Park, UMEC is a research and development company in AI & 5G industry with 7,000 sqft working space. Our design approach emphasized in creativity and innovation to create an open and connect space. Two main paths were introduced at an angle for natural light filtering into the reception and visitors would be greeted by sea views. The office is divided into different zones while maintain connection and common spaces are placed near the entrance for easy access.
