The villa includes a double-car garage on the 1st floor, a common room for receiving guests and a children’s play area.

In addition to sorting out individual functional areas according to the different floors, the transition areas around the staircase actually has many unique design highlights from this project. For example, the tea cabinet next to the third floor and fourth floor stairwells was transformed into the exclusive sitting room of the master’s bedroom. On the second floor, there is a snack bar with a coffee machine and a thermostatic wine cabinet that extends the shareable functionality of the living room and the open kitchen. The TV wall by the dark grille and the staircase not only preserves the sight line and the free flow of lighting, but also forms a beautiful display case behind the TV wall that can be admired when passing by and appropriately illustrate the beauty of the home.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The entire project uses a large blend of natural and green environmental-friendly materials, which not only exhibits the hosts taste and exclusive sense of design, but the materials also have excellent skin-friendly and weather resistance properties while also effectively extending the preservation time of the overall project. For example, the TV wall and the elevator opening on the second floor living room use stone to bring out the low key luxurious texture and the back wall of the sofa is covered in artistic paint with irregular linear divisions to render a calm and lively rhythm. The horizontal ceiling above the bar area next to the dining table is plated with titanium, which corresponds to the wooden luminous ceiling above the kitchen countertop. The indirect light and the elevation difference successfully diverts people’s attention and virtually eliminates the pressure from the traversing beam.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The planning of water usage areas has always paid attention to the meticulousness of the construction methods and practical experience and is definitely the key to affecting the comfort of future spaces! For example, multiple waterproofing steps in the bathroom, the splash proof designs in the kitchen area and the combination of various damp proof materials are absolutely necessary. The central island sink, hot and cold drinking devices and the dishwasher that was added to the kitchen for this project also needed to be pre-configured with a pipeline system. Calculations for the inflow and the drainage sloping need to be done to create a happy user experience.
CHALLENGE: Part of the ceiling of the living room on the 4th floor is specially made of a steel structure and tempered glass to replace the traditional concrete floor and is equipped with sliding sunshade for random light control. This project highly values edge waterproofing, rust prevention of the components and diversion of rainwater to extend the field of vision and introduce abundant sunlight into the home, allowing users to comfortably enjoy watching the clouds in the morning and stargazing at night.
