DESIGN NAME: Foram Aesthetic
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Clinic
INSPIRATION: This project aims to create 'The most beautiful artistic relationship between people and the environment. 'Beauty is as multifaceted as human beings, ForSpace and FFNE express the unreality of beauty and finally reveal its true face, forming an artistic attitude of 'For, who I am. Revolutionizes the concept of modern luxury with an introspective spatial perspective and sensory experience while carrying out the brand's aesthetic perspective. Inspired by the 'riverbank'; in Taichung, the design team explores the aesthetics of relaxation and explores the art and deeper meaning contained therein.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The main wall is made of angled wooden squares with paint to create a shimmering scene, which alludes to water as the root of life. On the other hand, the geometric design shows the fusion of contemporary and traditional. Finally, the doors of the clinics symbolize the four phases of a day, namely Dawn, Noon, Dusk, and Midnight. With different furniture, each clinic becomes an independent place. The lobby is the field of plant scaping. The fountain tree seeds symbolize life, while the resin represents water as a hint of the transformation of the atmosphere of the lobby and the clinic and the enhancement of privacy.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The project is a well-planned commercial aesthetic clinic space that emphasizes a smooth flow, privacy, and a sense of ritual. The design team first shifted the original entrance to the side to create a hidden walkway. In the quiet and comfortable space, the counter is located on the inner side and integrated with the main wall. In addition, the vegetation-like screens and deliberately arranged routes allow each consumer to be in the space but with privacy. Finally, the coffee area offers a view with large floor-to-ceiling windows and creates a relaxing experience.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project finished in 2022 in Taiwan.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The design team used a wide range of natural materials, from the warm walnut to the understated calmness of custom-made paints, fine sand to stone, and even Boucle to linen, giving the space a strong sensual connection with people. People in the space can be immersed in the beauty of the materials, enjoying the warmth and timelessness of natural texture and highlighting the uniqueness of each one of us and the best moment of time.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The size of this project is about 661 square meters. It is divided into an outdoor landscape area of 234 square meters, an indoor 'front clinic' of 307 square meters, and a 'back VIP' area of 120 square meters. The 6-meter-long hall counter requires a combination of volume, refinement, and practicality. The dark gray granite veneer was cut into pieces with special techniques, and the whole piece of beige wood veneer was wrapped around the cabinet. It is also worth mentioning that a special coating with high hardness and scratch resistance is used for the countertop to extend the texture of the stone.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: As an aesthetic clinic, the space conveys that 'every moment of restoration and blooming is beauty.' Therefore, the theme of the design revolves around time, purity, and water. Time is not suspended, but flowing; perfection is not flawless, but natural; the clinic is not freezing, but reborn by water. The project consists of three axes that connect the space, which are the tension of large white walls, the overlapping of light and shadow, and the interweaving of treetops. The space is not overly decorated but conveys an understated texture most simply.
CHALLENGE: The building was old and had problems such as broken pipes, odor, mosquitoes, and sound insulation. The dilapidated facade and the disorganized pipes under the ceiling were re-planned through the layout and techniques to solve the holes, walls, ceilings, beams, and lines. To recover the order in the space, the design team hid the wires in the space, created a clean and impeccable ceiling, and shaped the simple but delicate walls. The seemingly simple and pure space is filled with the design team's dedication to every detail.
