DESIGN NAME: Minimalism Realm
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential
INSPIRATION: This project is inspired by 'Pure', which means to provide a pure space for the client. Under the single color, people can feel the power of stability, live with their inner self, let their thoughts reach a harmonious frequency, and return to inner peace. The design team boldly used a single color as the main visual. To enhance the minimalist style, the cabinets are designed with suspension and the highlights are outlined with rounded elements at the turns and doors.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project utilizes a variety of design techniques to emphasize consistency and purity. The design team used nude color as the base, and the natural radiance and the ivory white in the space reflect each other, creating a textured atmosphere. As for the consistency of the space, the design team removed the partition in the public area because of the small size of the space and presented the TV wall in a suspended way. At the same time, the design team took advantage of the different reflective properties of each material so that a single color can present a more diversified look.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The design team used color, concealed storage, and restrained decorative techniques to preserve the purity and consistency of the space in keeping with its 'minimalist9; theme. The smoothness of PANDOMO flooring amplifies the visual, and the natural airholes on its surface give it natural and rustic beauty. Meanwhile, the concealed cabinetry provides a consistent appearance and satisfies basic storage needs.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project finished in September 2021 in Taiwan.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Materials, PANDOMO eco-friendly seamless flooring, eco-friendly latex paint, micro-cement eco-friendly seamless paint, etc. There are no gorgeous stones, no intricate carved trims, and no dazzling colors in the space. The entire space is decorated with a minimum of decorative techniques and a minimal variety of building materials. The design team used the characteristics of the materials to create satin walls and furniture to delicately express the different looks of a single color.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: This project is a newly completed house with a total area of 92.5 square meters. The layout has two bedrooms, a living room, and a dining room. In addition to the single color, the layout, and visual lines are also very intuitive. The design team used arcs to cover the beams and columns and the turn of the space and organized the visual direction so that the client can clearly understand the function in each area briefly. On the other hand, the suspended TV wall design forms light and shadow changes and penetration. The client can enjoy the enjoyment of interacting with light and shadow in the space.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: In terms of building materials, layout, and design techniques, the design team took a restrained decorative approach and a sense of spatial amplification as the considerations to present a pure space. In the dining area, there was a facade separating the living room, which made the space cramped. The facade brings a sense of narrowness to the area. To solve the shortcomings of the facade, the design team made the TV wall into a cabinet with a sense of suspension and penetration to bring out the impression of the space and blur the boundaries of the areas. Emphasizes color and simplicity and uses arc elements to create a minimalist design.
CHALLENGE: The biggest challenge of this project was to overcome 'monotony'. After all, the color, materials, and design are very pure. Therefore, by removing the partitions that blocked the light, the space was able to enhance the lighting to achieve openness of view, making light the best accent. Light of different brightness falls on different materials to create a unique look and a delicate texture.
