| DESIGN NAME: Paper Forest PRIMARY FUNCTION: Decoration Sticker INSPIRATION: Stressful urban life, epidemic and social networking has always been a source of tension and stress for us. We hope to create works that relieve stress and nourish the soul. Many people refuse to grow plants because it takes time, knowledge, perseverance and love. Paper forest sticker is the perfect solution. It only takes 5 minutes to bring greenery to the user's desk. You can "plant" anywhere, bring lush greenery to the desk and bring nature to work and life. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Paper forest stickers can bring lush greenery to any place in any time. And we can plant them in an instant. Water, sunlight, fertilizer and soil are not required, but they remain lush and green all the time. Anyone can easily bring nature to any place in work and life. Add greenery to your work environment to relieve stress and anxiety. We have also developed a series of accessories to make the sticker easy to integrate into our life. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: No water, no sunlight, no fertilization, no soil, but it stays green. It will last forever and can be applied anywhere. It only takes 5 minutes to bring greenery to the user's desk. You can "plant" anywhere, bring lush greenery to the desk and bring nature to work and life. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in April 2020 in Hong Kong and finished in November 2021 in Hong Kong, and was start selling in Asia in March 2022. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Paper forest sticker is a product that cooperates with paper artists and takes paper art as the core of the design. The traditional art of paper-cutting has been reinterpreted and treated with laser technology to immediately show a fashionable appearance. It is 100% made of paper. We insist on using the most environmentally friendly and sustainable natural resources for production, and create products that make users feel natural. it is based on the original creation focusing on natural environmental protection. From function, material, packaging, production, all take natural environmental protection as the core concept. Paper forest sticker is a product produced with the assistance of disabled people in cooperation with sheltered workshops. Social Responsibility [Desktop Forest] is a product produced with the assistance of disabled people in cooperation with sheltered workshops. A "work-friendly& CHALLENGE: How to "minimal" the design is the main challenge for this project. Less but better is the main aim of the project. simplicity is key and if the idea is good, lesser elements will suffice. Minimalist design today is about reduction, unearthing a message and structuring the content. It makes effective use of blank spaces and creates a high visual impact with only the most essential elements. We subtract unnecessary structure. We subtract any material other than paper. We subtract printing or other post-processing. We only use paper as a single material and the material itself as the structure. We also add a natural look to the paper with the laser engrave process. NAME: Joe Wong Design Company PROFILE: As a paper artist and a designer, Joe Wong is well-known for his "One Paper, One World" design aesthetics. For ten years, Joe has been using "paper" to tell different stories. Joe has successively cooperated with hundreds of well-known domestic and foreign brands, and established his paper art brands POSTalk and FingerART and JOEWONGDESIGN. Since 2011, Joe Wong has been using paper art as a medium of creation. From art to commercial design, he constantly thinks out of the box and make new attempts in the field of creation. In 2017, he was invited by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council to create a large-scale paper art for IDT Expo, which was also collected by the US private collector.In 2018, he became one of the four Chinese artists invited to the LUCCA BIENNALE – Paper, Art, Design in Italy. Joe Wong's modern paper art exhibition held at the Mission Hills Centreville in Shenzhen in 2016, with the theme of paper art light and shadow interaction, has also received overwhelming response. |
