PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Headphones

INSPIRATION:
Traditional in-ear headphones could block external canal and sounds from outside, which may be dangerous for users. People who use bone conduction headphones may suffer from sound leakage and low quality audio. So we wanted to apply air-conduction technique that eliminates discomfort from wearing headphones but can still deliver good audio. Our open pods and open circlet offer a good balance between private space and being aware of surroundings for athletes and meet user's high sound quality need.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Open pods and open circlet are innovative wireless headphones adopting air conduction system technology. Acoustic port is precisely designed so that audio can be directly delivered into ears. They naturally fit the ear curve without being required to plug into your ears. When placed outside of your ears, health of the ear canal is assured and users can also be aware of the surroundings.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
Featuring air conduction technique open pods and open circlet deliver excellent audio through air. They are placed outside of users' ears so that they do not sit inside user's external canal, providing users comfortable wearing experience and offering a good balance between private space and being aware of surroundings. Also, our products are designed based on ergonomics, which means they fit naturally around ears and will not fall off easily.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
This project started in Shenzhen in September, 2021 and finished in Shenzhen this year. Open pods and open circlet will be launched in India/America/Europe/Africa/Dubai/Southeast Asia in September this year.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
1.We adopted air-conduction technique in order to provide the best audio and comfortable wearing experience. 2.Open pods and open circlet are designed in an open way, eliminating the risks of bacteria growth inside external canal. Being designed in a semi-circular arc shape based on our ears' curve allows them to fit user's ears perfectly. 3.Surface is made of silica gel with anti-bacterial coating material and the charging case is made of recyclable abs and pc.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
Open pods and open circlet provide a balance between privacy and environmental perception. To achieve this, we adopted air conduction technology, they are placed outside the ear while ensuring the best sound quality and a more natural, healthy and comfortable listening experience than traditional headphones. After investigating thousands of users' auricle data, we created the best listening angle based on ergonomics, so that users have a comfortable listening experience while in motion.

CHALLENGE:
To redefine listening experience and wearing style and make target users feel more secure and comfortable with fashionable and trendy looks in motion is our biggest challenge. For this reason, we independently developed air conduction technology and accurately designed acoustic ports. After investigating ear data of different users, we designed semi-circular arc shape that perfectly fits the user's ear. We also adopted color antibacterial coating to ensure they are sweat-proof and non-slip.
