| DESIGN NAME: Yimu Fount PRIMARY FUNCTION: On-tap Water Purifier INSPIRATION: With the increasingly severe water pollution, people pay more and more attention to drinking water safety. However, it is not easy to distinguish the actual filtering effect because of the mixed water purification equipment on the market. So we hope to realize an intelligent water purifier with a smart control system to ensure drinking water's safety and visually present the filtering effect. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: A home water monitoring device that tests and filters water. It has three significant over its competitors: 1. real-time monitoring of critical water quality parameters using microfluidic and mini-spectrophotomet OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Install the equipment directly to the faucet, water flow into the equipment from the tap and test the water for the first time by the water quality monitoring module, and then flow into the filter element for filtering. The filtered water enters the monitoring module again to compare the filtering effect, so as to ensure that the filtered water meets the reference standard. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in December 2014 in Washington D.C. and finished in May 2016. |
