PRIMARY FUNCTION: Dog Training Tool
INSPIRATION: Dog training method involving clickers is the most widely accepted by ethologists, and becoming more and more popular among dog owners. No matter the importance, available clickers have low aesthetic and manufacturing quality and fail to meet the needs and desires of the new generation of dog owners, who try to get sustainable, yet stylish dog accessories.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Clic is a stylish and personalizable alternative for the short product life dog clickers flooding the market. It aims to be a non-disposable tool that dog owners can rely on during the years of dog training, not only in a dog training environment, but every day they go for a walk with the dog.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The straightforward, functional design is easily operable by the oversized button and allows perfect timing during dog training. Its' simple, modular build-up makes mixing and matching of the parts easy, enabling an assembly that fits functional and stylistic personal preferences. Different wrist and finger strap options are available. Each part connects to the other with a snap-fit. The modular assembly of the clicker makes repairs and disassembly simple when its life cycle ends.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in October 2020 in Budapest and finished in November 2021.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The main part of the basic model consists of injection-molded PLA housing in vibrant colors, with silicone and textile strap accessories. Inner functional parts are made of stainless steel. An optional model including casted aluminum housing is also available.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Clicker dimensions are 30mm x 23.5mm x 60mm, with additional strap options vary in size.

CHALLENGE: One of the biggest creative challenges was the development of the most simple, yet ergonomic and fully functional interchangeable strap system and its integration to a clean and timeless design.
