INSPIRATION:
In the article The Metropolis and Mental Life, German sociologist Georg Simmel raised the concern: “the deepest problems of modern life derive from the claim of the individual to preserve the autonomy and individuality of his existence in the face of overwhelming metropolitan life.” As the quality life and the level of aesthetics grow, the urban elites are now trying to defining their unique lifestyles while accumulating wealth.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
As urban elites pay more attention to the aesthetic aspects of life, it also empowers designers in creating “dream-like” spaces to some extents. The consensus that both parties have on the value of art makes it possible for a bolder practice of an ideal home. In this project, T-IMAGE sees the real intention and needs of the residents. The design outlined a balanced lifestyle of urban elites through an artistic way of design, presenting an inspiring image of the ideal home.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
In our design, we have applied some international brands of furniture, accessories and works of art. The combination of them brings the owner's imagination of a better way of life.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project is located in Shenyang, China. It was designed in February 2021 and completed in May.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
In the living room, designers chose to use the HUG collection sofa from Italian brand CORNELIO CAPPELLINI. The hug-like shape together with knitting pattern gives a 3D texture to the furniture, bringing users the warmth and comfort of fabrics.MOOD is the featured product from Christofle, a top French luxury brand. The design is very popular among royal family and aristocrats. With the round shape symbolizing new life and perfection, it also matches the value of Chinese customers.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
An ideal home should not just be soft and cozy. It also serves the function for families to have immersive emotional exchanges. Artworks have the similar mysterious power to facilitate communication. In designing this home with an area of 172sqm, we aimed at meeting all the functional needs of the family, and at the same, to add a touch of elegance and luxury for the residents to experience and imagine.
