DESIGN NAME: LaTrika
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Interior Of A Showroom
INSPIRATION: The philosophy behind the LaTrika brand is based on the unison of mind, body and soul, and finding harmony with our surroundings. Every human is a reflection of the world around us, and LaTrika embraces and conveys our unbreakable connection with nature. The design team wanted to convey the brand's vision and mission by designing a calm and "organic" space. This would envelop visitors with an aura of light and unity, inviting them to become part of something truly unique.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The showroom is a peaceful natural haven set in the middle of a bustling urban center. The design team opted for a combination of smooth wall surfaces as well as living masonry. Day and Night feature: a Night was used as a moon in the entranceway where rails house some of the brand's collections. A Sun features above the trees in the fitting room space. A wooden platform with a mirror framed by greenery evokes a riverside ambience helping visitors completely remove any thought of the frantic metropolis outside.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: A particular challenge here was to realize a unique selfie-zone that accurately conveys the brand's DNA and the designer's vision of the world. This is why the lighting in this part of the hall has been carefully designed to make every girl feel unique and confident in LaTrika's clothes. Above this area, there is a semi-transparent ceiling with a niche through which the sun's rays pass.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in March 2021 and was completed in May 2021

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Live plants were used, as well as supplying a specialized lighting and irrigation system. There was also special stabilized moss employed, strawberry plants, driftwood and large stones. Given the age of the building, the use of these items had weight implications and as a result a thorough floor load calculation was carried out.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Showroom area is 120 square meters
Сeiling height is 3600 mm

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: To create the interior, the team researched the specifics of interior design in the retail sector.
Important aspects were the use of retail furniture, lighting placement, and dividing the space into zones. Monochrome walls were chosen as the basis so that clothes would look expressive. Selfie areas became the 'right' promotional strategy.
The research was also carried out which led to a concept of an additional plants' night lighting and a watering schedule.
The idea of 'plants in the interior' came as a result of a research on environmental issues in the country, which the clients conducted personally. The main message is that humans are part of nature.
CHALLENGE: The main challenges encountered were as follows: - short deadlines for design and implementation - The need to take into account all the technical nuances for the placement of live plants - the need to perform the calculation of loads on the floor - remote implementation (all architectural supervision processes were carried out online, it was the first time the design teams visited the interior after its implementation).
