| DESIGN NAME: Bixdo M60 PRIMARY FUNCTION: Home Water Flosser INSPIRATION: Regular dental scaling is the most practical way to prevent oral and gum disease recommended by dentists. Cold water can cause irritating gum sensitivity, making the scaling process uncomfortable and causing damage to the gums and oral environment. This demands rapid heating for water flossers. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This is a home water flosser for users, equipped with 3-second nano rapid heating technology, preventing gum sensitivity caused by cold water. At the same time, with the help of 6-layer protection technology, it can effectively eliminate water leakage and electricity leakage. The self-cleaning function and hydrophobic surface can remove bacteria and scale deposits. Users can adjust the water pressure and gears at any time according to the different oral states of parents and children, which is truly one-size-fits-all machine for the whole family. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The plating panel is ergonomically designed with a slope transition, which not only improves the interactive experience and recognition, but also makes the product appear smaller. With the icons on the plating panel, users can intuitively learn switch gears, wash mode, water temperature, self-cleaning and other functions. At the same time, the bottom of the product applies multi-line slot design, which is adaptable to different sockets in the bathroom. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in Shanghai in January 2021 and completed in March 2022 in Shanghai. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The whole body is made of 6-layer waterproof technology. It achieves rapid heating which removes the potential danger of electricity leakage and enhances safety. The reservoir is made of skin-friendly ABS material, and the body shell, hose and replaceable nozzle are made of food-grade silicone. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: - TAGS: Home water flosser, rapid heating of Nano, staging design, 6 layers of waterproof, self-cleaning, human interaction RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Protection measures like waterproof and anti-leakage are prerequisites for the rapid heating of the water flosser. Through in-depth research on the market, the design team found that the ordinary home water flosser couldn’t achieve the function of rapid heating due to the inadequate waterproof and anti-leakage measures. CHALLENGE: The product is innovatively equipped with nano 3-second rapid heating technology, which prevents gum sensitivity caused by cold water and makes the product more user-friendly. During the developing process, the major challenge is to achieve rapid heating while ensuring that the product is waterproof and leak-proof in real time. Taking users’ safety into serious consideration, the design team created 6 layers of waterproof to make the product’s rapid heating work well in the humid bathroom.
