| DESIGN NAME: Una Luna PRIMARY FUNCTION: Confectionery Packaging INSPIRATION: Una Luna is a premium candy that uses real Italian chocolate and natural ingredients. Roses and Grapes and Cherry Garden is a premium series of fruit candies in the finest Italian dark chocolate. Roses and Grapes - chocolate-covered peach and walnut, chocolate-covered pear and Grape Magic. Cherry Garden - chocolate-covered prunes with walnut, chocolate-covered apricots with walnut, and Cherry Magic. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The idea of packaging design arose from the name of the series. Each name of the fruit candy series echoes the widely known lines of prominent Ukrainian poets of the 19th-20th centuries. Cherry Garden - "A cherry orchard near the house..." - a poem by Taras Shevchenko. Ukrainian poet, thinker, public figure of the 19th century. Roses and Grapes. "Roses and grapes are beautiful and useful" - a poem by Maxim Rilski Ukrainian poet, public figure of the 20th century OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The main challenge was to create a suitable illustration that would tell the story of the product and expose it from an unusual angle. It was also necessary to make sure that the consumer could easily find all the necessary information about the product, that it was readable and error-free. And the company logo should be visible at a glance PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: This project started in May 2021 and finished in 2021 August in Kyiv. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: All packages were printed by offset technology, using matte varnish and embossing of individual elements with copper foil. Two packages were created for these two series. The packaging for chocolates had to be safe for the product and prevent it from spoiling, extend the shelf life and reduce the cost of production. In addition, its environmental friendliness became an integral requirement - the right packaging does not harm the environment. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 1 boxes 370mm x 260mm x 15mm 2 boxes 370mm x 260mm x 15mm TAGS: Chocolate collection. Chocolate, Chocolate packaging, Fruit candies, Ukraine, Collage RESEARCH ABSTRACT: The designer used an unusual illustration - a collage, where each composition is assembled from individual elements. The composition of the collage repeats the name of each series. Collage illustration plays on the name of each series and conveys the lushness and beauty of Ukrainian nature and at the same time, black background and minimal lettering conveys modernity and elegance. CHALLENGE: One of the most important tasks in the development of the design was to create such a package that the consumer, looking at the product, wanted to buy it and at the same time the package should be associated with Ukraine, with its rich poetry, history and nature. Great attention was paid to the details from which the collage was created. In each composition, fruit, which is used to fill a given series of candies, is necessarily repeated.
