DESIGN NAME: Avantgarde
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Restaurant
INSPIRATION: Regarding rapid civilization and destroying the green district in most urban plannings, there is a need to replant and create a neutral place to freshening people and reminding to care about the eco, which is the UN’s goal. The design of the Avantgarde restaurant comes from the Amazon jungle, which is the most significant green area on the planet, and the beautiful rivers pathing in the middle of it.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: It is considering the restaurant's placement in a commercial complex in Tehran. Most construction of the place has eco-friendly materials. The ceiling has been planted by using a spectacular structure with vertical hanging metals as plants dividers from the others, which is inspired by the sky view of the Amazon jungle. The curved and spiral lightings between the plants symbolize rivers that pass through the middle of the jungle.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Avantgarde restaurant includes a lobby, main hall, CIP area, and a unique hall for children. As well as the placement of forms, styles and different materials, such as metals, glasses, stones, and curved lines, along with vertical stripes and other colors, which individually provide independent identity, totally has created an integrated and pleasant atmosphere for the audiences.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project has been designed in 2021 in Tehran and it is under construction now.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Iron-made structures with plants and curved lights are combined and form the ceiling. Most of the elements have been made with eco-friendly materials.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The total area of the restaurant is 740 square meters.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: General research was conducted for indoor and outdoor flora and fauna. Basis, the research plants were selected that produce oxygen most of the time and absorb harmful pollutants from the air.
This design is not only based on emotional design, but also each sector of form has a particular function.
CHALLENGE: From the beginning, the design goal was to maintain the main concept and space and the restaurant's usage, creating an area to refresh and reminding them to care about their green planet. Suppose we imagine we can misplace it in a city in another country like Los Angeles, Frankfurt, Istanbul, Dubai, or elsewhere. In that case, again, people of that region with any culture, thoughts, belief, and climate accept it and enjoy moments and immerse in the relaxing colors and the beautiful scene of a neutral ceiling.
