| DESIGN NAME: Newhengdian Station PRIMARY FUNCTION: Transportation INSPIRATION: The creative concept of this case is "integration into the city, vertical penetration and context inheritance". The design starts with the close spatial relationship between the station building and the commercial system and the traditional urban spatial scale of Dongyang. Starting from the level of conforming to the urban texture, the strip volume is adopted to better echo the railway streamline, so that the building volume is both atmospheric and modern. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The overall style of the station building is square and stable. The traditional architectural design language of Dongyang City is refined. The repeated use of vertical elements forms a concise and regular spatial image of the station building. The bucket arch structure and wood carving skills echo the profound historical heritage and shape the new living room of the city. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The facade of the store adopts the form of whole glass instead of wall, which provides more intuitive and flexible commercial display conditions for later merchant operation. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The perfect combination of composite metal and wood carving patterns. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The project covers a total of 45000 square meters. TAGS: Interior, Commercial, Transportation, Station, Modern, Oriental Elements, Natural, Elegant RESEARCH ABSTRACT: For tourists, the station is the first and final impression of the city. The design of the waiting hall fully reflects the integrity and regionality of the building. The architectural style is based on traditional Chinese cultural elements, and the overall tone uses a warmer wood color. CHALLENGE: The ceiling on the top adopts the perfect combination of composite metal lines and wood carving patterns to give the space an infinite sense of extension and maximize the visual guidance.
