| DESIGN NAME: Puyuan Ancient Town PRIMARY FUNCTION: Ceramic Tableware INSPIRATION: Puyuan ancient town, a water town in the south of the Yangtze River, has a cultural history of more than 800 years. It has developed a set of ceramic cultural and creative products for this area. Inspired by the architectural landscape of Puyuan ancient town, it conveys Chinese culture. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This project is a cultural and creative product that applies the local architectural cultural characteristics to ceramics through hand-painted design according to the characteristics of Puyuan ancient town, and transmits the regional characteristics to others in the form of ceramics. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The characteristic buildings of Puyuan ancient town in Tongxiang are made into blue and white paper materials by hand drawing, and the produced paper is applied to ceramics and fired at high temperature. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project was launched in Hangzhou in June 2021 and completed in Hangzhou in January 2022. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: It is made of the most representative handmade blue and white china in Jingdezhen and fired at 1300 degrees. For the two designers, each design work is a unique artistic expression. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: Cup length 80mm, depth 80mm, height 80mm; Coffee cup length 80mm, depth 65mm, height 73mm; plate length 205mm; Small plate length 135mm; TAGS: Cultural creation，Chinese culture ,Ceramic ,ancient town RESEARCH ABSTRACT: This is a unique ceramic cultural and creative product designed for Puyuan ancient town. After investigation, the ancient temples, ancient bridges and ancient houses in Puyuan ancient town are created with a brush, so as to extract the cultural characteristics of Puyuan, integrate into ceramic art and promote the development and publicity of regional tourism. CHALLENGE: Through painting, the characteristics of Puyuan ancient town in Tongxiang City are depicted, and the combination of regional culture and ceramic art is a challenge.
