| DESIGN NAME: Wuyuanhe Innovative PRIMARY FUNCTION: Office Center INSPIRATION: This project is located in Wuyuanhe Wetland Park, Haikou City, Hainan Province. The building adopts a minimalist modern style, transparent and square, showing the endless vitality and innovative spirit of the place. The light and shadow that come into the reception area through the transparent grant the pure white space a solemn and evocative feeling of the future. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The first floor beside water and the second floor with its folded glazed curtain walling perfectly meld the indoor landscape and the outdoor scenery together into a cohesive whole. The sand table achieves the visual effect of appearing to float, with the table edge using a maximized angle and the position of its sections to hide the table's base. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: In addition, there is enough office and conference space to meet the needs of the initial use of the park, being highly harmonious and unified in structure, material, and visual effect. It is a perfect area where one can both enjoy outside views and hold meetings. The salon area on the second floor has a baking table. Sitting by the window and sipping a glass of wine or a cup of tea will be highly conducive to awakening inspiration from within. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The white boat-shaped ornaments look both simple and elegant. Meanwhile, the coffee bar offers a multi-functional social space. The white ceiling adopts the same style as the façade, extending the visual depth of the space. The meeting area is mainly set by the windows. Elegant shades of dark brown, beige, and green create a visual connection between different parts of the space. Various materials including the tiles that make up the floor, the copperplate on the wall, and the leather sofa come together to provide a harmonious and minimalist atmosphere, while highlighting the space's overall textural sense. The staircase leading to the second floor is not straight but spiral, creating the journey between floors a more dynamic feel. In such a lofty space, this specially designed staircase looks like an exquisite work of papercraft or origami. Our designer chose white aluminum plate and brown leather to produce a sense of layering. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The second floor offers a panoramic view of the outside wetland park through the magnificent glazed curtain walling. The façade is meticulously designed in order to optimize the use of natural light. The folding-paper-esque glass gives the building a unique visual effect. The second floor is around the atrium space of the first floor. The sculptural louver-shaped decoration serves as a clever connection between the two floors, from which one can see the first floor from the second but not vice versa. The afternoon sunlight comes inside, adding some grandeur to the dark brown carpet and the soft wooden ceiling. The beige sofa, the high-end emerald-green stone surface, and the beautiful flowers and plants come together to create a social space for the elites.
