| DESIGN NAME: Ritmo PRIMARY FUNCTION: Table INSPIRATION: Inspired by the rhythm of life. The dining table is the family's meeting place. The furniture to make happy moments and create affective memories. Designed with scandinavian inspiration and modernist style. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Designed during quarantine, this dining table has legs that simulate movement, creating a beautiful rhythm. A brass bar works like equilibrium line. At every angle you look, a different shape will emerge. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: A table that can be made in various sizes and colors to work in various places such as dining room, office, vanity room. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in October 2021 in Sao Paulo - Brasil and finished in january 2022 in Belo Horizonte - Brasil. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Furniture Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The wood is cut and sanded, then turned and the pieces glued to receive varnish. Finally, the brass bar is fixed with the spheres. Noble wood in its purest form with a varnished finish. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 220mm x 1100mm x 750mm TAGS: #hybrid, #table, #quarantine, #minimalist, #sustaintability, #movement, #elegance RESEARCH ABSTRACT: During the quarantine, we used our furniture a lot, and the dining table was the place to gather the family, eat good food and share moments, smiles and love, so this is the best place to be with family and friends. Our research was to make an emotional project and create a table with movement. CHALLENGE: The challenge was the feet. How to make fine lines create movement and support the table. For this, we used real wood and a straight base to make the feet. So it can be painted or laminated.
