| DESIGN NAME: Six Grams PRIMARY FUNCTION: Cutlery INSPIRATION: Our inspiration come from the weight of meals. Existing cutlery is almost made by metals so we have the weight of metal itself and meals. But if we can feel the weight of meals when we eat, we may get any other idea or insight, inspiration from the meals. Six grams made by Carbon FRP which is used in aerospace craft is very light weight so you can feel meal directly. Also Metal has the luxury and stable but there is allergy. Our six grams is Hypoallergenic so it is friendy for body. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: 6g (six grams) is the cutlery of the future, made of carbon fibre (CFRP). When you hold it in your hand, the thinness and lightness of the cutlery make it disappear, emphasising the presence of the food and giving you a dining experience unlike any other. NAME: KIWA ART AND DESIGN Inc. PROFILE: KIWA ART AND DESIGN Inc. is a design consulting firm established in Tokyo in 2018. Representative Toshitaka Hiraga was involved in customer experience design and new business planning at an automobile manufacturer and a human resources firm. Chief designer Masaki Nemoto, who founded KIWA together with Hiraga, worked in design for an automobile manufacturer and a global consulting firm. He worked with car manufacturers and research institutes on design development and was involved in a number of projects, and in 2021 released his own service, ChargerMap, which provides information on the location of electric vehicle chargers and won a design award in Japan. We are one of the few design firms that can implement everything from marketing to design strategy and prototyping. |
