PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Air Conditioner

INSPIRATION:
The idea was to revolutionize the classic indoor air conditioning terminal as the brand did with the decorative radiator 30 years ago. We have worked to have a system that is radically more beautiful and that diffuses a softer air in the room. Our inspiration comes from our artistic studies (Beaux-Art in France) : which inspired the painting format with an American box for the frame. As well as our background in climate engineering which has allowed us to invent new technical solutions.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Greenor Max is a unique top energy-efficient heating & cooling indoor unit. Greenor Max has a unique vertical design. This vertical design allows to diffuse the conditioned air at the front and to one vertical side. These unique properties create constant eco-friendly cool air flow, refrigerant-free and draft-free cooling comfort. Greenor is ultra-quiet with 14.8 decibels on speed. Its unique concept offers comfort, high-end design and top-efficiency.

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
Greenor Max could have several application for residential or commercial where architecture wants to meet energy efficiency, comfort and modern design aesthetic. It allows to revolutionize the aesthetic impact of an air conditioner in its interior (house, living room, reception). It improves the comfort of individuals in a room by diffusing healthier air, without drafts. The diffusion of the air is done directly in the center of the room and not from bottom to top or from top/ceiling to bottom like a classic conditioner. This considerably increases the comfort of the human. The cooled air is more homogeneous, less humid.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project started in January 2019 in Sète, France and finished in January 2022 in Paris, France. GREENOR was exhibited in Architects at work Bordeaux event in December 2021 and Architects at work Paris event in September 2021.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
GREENOR Max use a patented antibacterial & antiviral heat exchanger entirely made in 100 % copper (anti-legionella). The Frame is made in high quality steel . The fans of GREENOR Max use with the latest brushless DC electric motor to be the best optimal energy-efficient cooling/heating unit on the market. The Greenor unit circulates chilled or low-temperature water through a coil for indoor cooling or heating using renewable energy generators as the heat pumps for hydronic systems. Greenor Max is refrigerant-free for a better respect of the environment.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
The CINIER team, in particular Michel Cinier for the technical part, spent almost 18 months internally developing and testing numerous prototypes to invent an air conditioning/heating exchanger unique in the world with vertical and ultra-efficient operation. The main challenge was the evacuation of condensate water (when the exchanger condenses by removing humidity from the air) and the achievement of significant performance in terms of quality/quantity of air conditioning. During the research and following the current health context (Covid 19), the research also looked at the Health aspect of the product. This resulted in choosing the anti-viral material which is copper for the exchanger in contact with the air. Greenor Max consists of 16 Kg of pure copper. This destroys as many viruses and bacteria as possible. In addition to copper, the CINIER team has also developed new stainless steel filters with UV LEDs internally, allowing perfectly healthy air to be diffused in the room.

CHALLENGE:
The most difficult part of this design was clearly the completely new technological design to imagine and invent. In order to create air conditioning with a VERTICAL design (man's height) and not a standard horizontal design. The 40 years of technical experience of Michel Cinier, his perseverance, his inventiveness have made it possible to create several technical advances: in particular on the shape of the exchanger, on the filtration, on the diffusion of the air in the room, on silence and so on Energy consumption. At the same time, Johanne Cinier worked on the aesthetic design to reduce the thickness of the product and the lightest possible visual sensation with an exceptional creative result.
