| DESIGN NAME: The knight PRIMARY FUNCTION: Jewellery INSPIRATION: The design of this series is inspired by the European medieval chivalry. Fast food love is prevalent, guardianship and companionship have become rare, and chivalry is even more precious. Based on this, the knight series is developed and designed to pay tribute to the love that goes both ways and protects each other. Use the shield as a claw to firmly guard the hard and bright diamond. The diamond lights up the knight. It is the light of redemption and the glorious guardian of a lifetime. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The [Knight] series is made of 18K gold material and three-dimensional sculpture technology, the classic elements of knight's armor, shield, girdle are refined into the product design, with protection as the premise, and running for love in both directions. The style is neutral and neat, cool and beautiful coexist. While taking into account the aesthetic expression of jewelry design, it also conveys the wearer's chivalrous spirit and yearning for a beautiful love. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Taking the spirit of medieval chivalry as a reference prototype, extracting elements such as armor, girdle, shield and sword into the design, symbolizing the loyalty of the knight to watch over love, the neat streamline and the armor complement each other, showing individuality, and also in the inherent relationship between men and women. In between, a neutral expression has been added, implying that everyone can be a knight for themselves or for each other. Knights swear by swords to protect each other and fight for themselves. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project was conceived and conceptualized in Shanghai, China in September 2017, completed in Shanghai in April 2019, and released in China in July 2019 |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: 1. Three-dimensional sculpture process: Combining artistic sculpture techniques with jewelry. Hand-painted to 3D modeling, depicting helmets, armors and other shapes, spraying resin to check the 1:1 effect, and then pouring gold to make jewelry. Using metal processes such as polishing, sandblasting, wire drawing, and hand-knocking balls, laser engraving can be used, and movable structures can be used. 2. Material: The material of this series is mainly 18K white gold + diamonds, and individual models use 18K black gold and sapphire; the helmet is inlaid with black onyx. The shape of the armor Jewelry design is not completely realistic, but more importantly, it extracts the soul elements in the inspiration prototype and applies it reasonably in the design. Appropriate subtraction can sometimes express a fuller connotation.
