DESIGN NAME: Land of Dawn
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residence
INSPIRATION: The design team has mastered the details of the space and planned each area with a smooth traffic flow, color tone, and lighting to show the good space utilization and beauty of the spacious house. The space has a pure and natural atmosphere, complemented by an overlapping layout of dark and light layers, highlighting the progressive visual layers between areas. Under the same tone of different materials, the interplay of the dawn, the blazing sun, and the dusk, the elegant and warm house with the client's personality and characteristics are shown.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The goal was to redefine the spacious space and give it a brand-new feel through design ingenuity. The design team started from the ceiling of the living room in the public area to present a rounded and progressive low-key tension through the overlapping arcs, which produce a clear visual direction and create a rich visual change. Moreover, the design team also used the staggered configuration of screens and storage cabinets to expand the depth of visual penetration and lead the changes in space, which not only conforms to the client's habits but also achieves a highly consistent space.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The design team rethought the texture and tone of the space, and through the progressive planning of curved, grille, and wooden materials to connect the whole space harmoniously. The design team constructs the real life of the residents from the spatial design and reveals their unique character and taste. The residents can unconsciously immerse themselves in the elegant and unique atmosphere by wandering in a pure, quiet, and comfortable place.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project finished in October 2021 in Taiwan.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The design team divided the areas by facade and used the same tone and different materials to bring the warm texture into each area. The main wall of the living room is covered with wood veneer while the TV wall is covered with stone system panels, which not only harmonizes the material with other details but also has a perfect storage function. As for the living room and dining hallway, metal-framed glass sliding doors, curved marble screens, and curved glass are used to preserve the flexibility and smoothness of the function and present a practical and aesthetic image.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: This project is a 5-story, approximately 330 square meter building with a 5-bedroom, one bathroom, and one living room on each floor. The design team has used curved shapes and wood elements to create a fresh atmosphere in each area. The layout is mainly based on the living and dining room, the master bedroom, the second bedroom, the parent's room, the study room (future children's room), and the room for the shrine.
