| DESIGN NAME: Globalization Time PRIMARY FUNCTION: Wall Carpet INSPIRATION: People have always inspired me. In connection with recent events in the world, the tendency to openly speak one's thoughts and defend one's point of view has acquired a new face. It was the courage of people that inspired me to create the Globalization project. Times are changing, cultural boundaries are becoming mere conventions, and people are adopting features that were previously inherent in other peoples and cultures. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Syrmak consists of two layers of felted wool of the highest quality. The decorative top layer of syrmak is made of merino wool, soft and pleasant to the touch. The fine fibers of merino wool are waterproof and breathable, making it easy to clean; it is also odor resistant, antimicrobial and hypoallergenic. The second layer, which forms the basis of syrmak, is made of stronger wool than the top layer. Such wool retains a rigid shape, has a denser structure, and has excellent thermal insulation properties. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: tapestry dimensions 1500mmx1500mm TAGS: wall carpet, handmade work, art object, carpet weaving, painting, tapestry RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Research type: Carpet weaving Purpose of the study: Creation of a carpet based on the cultural identity of the Kazakhs and the theme of equality of all people. By analyzing the methods of carpet weaving in the regions of Central Asia and Kazakhstan, including, it was decided to develop a project based on the Asian technique of carpet weaving "Syrmak". Also, when developing the design of the carpet, Assel Baimakhan decided to bring to the fore the unity of all the peoples of the world, by depicting three figures representing various ethnic and racial groups. CHALLENGE: The designer made a wall carpet at home using Syrmak technology. Before the implementation of the project, it was necessary to study and consult with the masters of this craft. Features of felt pigmentation, stitching technology and much more - the correct implementation of all these aspects affects the authenticity of the product being sold, this was the main difficulty of the project - to make the carpet as close as possible to traditional carpet weaving technology.
