DESIGN NAME:
River Palace
PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Club House
INSPIRATION:
The Project faces the vast hinterland of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area, combining with its historical background, the key words set sail came to my mind; therefore, yacht is applied as the design language in the project architecture. It has become a new urban gathering spot and offered a natural emotional experience field to the Pearl River coast.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
The project is club interior design. What makes it unique is its geographical location.The project overlooking south to the confluence of the four rivers. As it faces the vast hinterland of the Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
With lines growing from the ground, undulating like waves and delineating several sets of pavilion-like private space, it is ideal for friends from a specific circle to have a drink here.Several decks are set up around the bar area to provide an emotional incubator for “strangers” to socialize.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project started in December 2020 in Guangzhou and finished in May 2021 in Guangzhou, and was opend in Guangzhou in May 2021.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
To break the waves, the outlines of yacht are mostly streamlined – which is exactly the natural form of water; within the streamlined outline, decoration, furniture and even the form of the space itself are restricted and influenced by it, and once again respond to water-related reveries.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:

CHALLENGE:
We hoped to break the border in order to allow the communication to happen across the space.Due to the application of unified material, the interior vision is extended to the exterior, allowing people to rest in the natural scenery.
