| DESIGN NAME: Y3 Neue PRIMARY FUNCTION: Treadmill Running Shoe INSPIRATION: Treadmills provide a simple, effective aerobic workout. A staple of commercial gyms, treadmills have also become one of the most popular exercise equipment machines. Most people go to the gym in order is to maintain a healthy lifestyle through exercise. Another reason is to lose weight and transition into a healthy lifestyle. Some people find a community at the gym, and they value the social interactions they have there. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The Y-3 Neue breaks with tradition in both form and function. Equipped with advanced Equal gel and artificial ligaments, bring comfort while meeting your athleisure aesthetic needs. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Y-3 Neue helps runner interacts with the shoes better than ever. A layer of carbon fiber cooperates with the artificial ligament started from the bottom lateral side, going up across the insteps then separating into two directions. The two pieces work together to hold the runner's heel properly and prevent the abnormal ankle twist during the running. The ergonomic curve of the insole would provide extra support for the arch. While heel landing on the treadmill surface, the impact pushes the gel extending to the medial side to prevent overpronation. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in 2018 and finished in 2020 (Los Angeles). |
