| DESIGN NAME: Pomi d'Umbria Lignea Collection PRIMARY FUNCTION: Ambiance Fragrance Diffuser INSPIRATION: The designer tops are made of gilded wood and draw inspiration from the knowledge and experience of wood craftsmen and their work. Using wood taken from picture frames decorated with fruit and leaf molding, they are individually and exclusively handmade with a gold leaf finish, to become real jewels of the finest, Renaissance-style craftsmanship. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Quality room fragrance convey a sensory experience leading to the discovery of a land rich in charm and history: Umbria, the Green Heart of Italy. The Lignea collection is the result of a careful study of each individual component, to provide the customer with high quality products that speak of tradition and at the same time of the modern world... carrying the hallmark for Made in Italy products. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: A spray version is available to intensify the fragrances of the Lignea Collection and spread their scented notes through interior spaces in a simple and natural way. Finally, once you have used up the fragrances from the Collection, you can choose to continue on your scented journey with our special refills, or use the designer tops as exclusive items and accessories: the designer tops can become original paperweights. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in February 2020 in Perugia (Italy) and the collection was presented for the first time in October 2021 at Rastrello Boutique, a luxury hotel in Panicale, and was exhibited in February 2022 at Umbria-Toscana Bank, a regional finantial institution in piazza IV Novembre in Perugia, one of the most beautiful piazzas of Italy. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The designer tops are made from wooden picture frames decorated with leaf and fruit molding. They are fashioned one by one, shaped exclusively by hand with a gold leaf finish, to become true jewels of the finest craftsmanship. Any tiny imperfection in the material renders each product unique and tells the story of a valuable art and craft process. Products come in FSC-certified cardboard cases. Inside are elegantly-shaped glass bottles containing hand-made fragrances, natural reed diffuser sticks. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 100 ml glass Ambiance Fragrance diffuser with 60 x 190 mm reed sticks and 1 wooden designer top. 100 ml Fragrance PET Refill with 60 x 190 mm reed sticks. 500 ml Fragrance PET Refill with 100 x 190 mm reed sticks 30 ml Ambiance Fragrance Spray. The 100 ml bottle of ambiance fragrance lasts about 5 months. Through the emotional experience of room fragrances, Pomi is all about combining quality craftsmanship with local culture. So, the Lignea Collection becomes an opportunity to take a trip down memory lane and discover the treasures of this land. Even as a child, Elisabetta was in awe of the magnificent gold decorations seen on church altars, and through her studies she learned to appreciate their great artistic value and craftsmanship. CHALLENGE: For the designer Elisabetta Furin, who is passionate about cultural anthropology, the design of a product must draw on the historical roots of local areas and influence craftsmanship and artistic expression with contemporary sensitivity. NAME: Pomi d'Umbria PROFILE: Pomi d’Umbria is a new, emotional stage of a journey undertaken with passion in 2011 when, calling ourselves Initinere, we went in search of Beauty and began exploring Umbria, raising its profile by holding green events, and studying its distinctive features, including quality local craftsmanship. Now our tale takes on a new guise, through the finest Ambiance Fragrances and original handmade design products that recall the ancient fruit of this territory. These cues stimulate our sense of sight and smell and our love of all things Made in Italy. Pomi d’Umbria is the name of a refined ambiance fragrance that triggers our sense of smell by offering an all-embracing sensorial experience in the living spaces that we care for the most. 10% of the essences used consist of the finest essential vegetable oils, skillfully blended to create fragrances that stimulate concentration and relaxation. This quality sensory experience is further enhanced by designer tops in maiolica and wood, handmade by expert craftsmen using age-old techniques. The home décor objects that have added richness to our Collections are instead made of chalk: they are Scented Chalks forms in the shape of three age-old fruits reinterpreted in a modern way. Imbued with a complementary fragrance, with citrus top notes and a warm, woody base, they are specially designed for smaller living spaces. Registered trademark. |
