| DESIGN NAME: Expobay Office PRIMARY FUNCTION: Showroom INSPIRATION: The client hopes that the possibilities of the office space and its influence could be renew and defined through this case. To show people how the technology is compatible with the nature, how privacy exists with publicity and how cautiousness coexists with casualness. The meaning and inspiration of the project are derived from these. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: When the space is not just space interior, then its meaning is deeper and broader. Designers hope that people can feel it when they enter the lobby.The green glass box hanging over the gray slate wall of the lobby is the the space extension of the hall on the second floor. That's the clue of how the design understand space and the expression of where the design stand. A big tree in the center of lounge in the lobby keeps a conservation with the green glass box. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The design team create the design and practice it through a way of building dramatic scenes and courageous space forms. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project started in May 2020 in Shenzhen and finished in July 2021 in Shenzhen. FITS BEST INTO CATEGORY: Interior Space and Exhibition Design |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The main materials in this project are terrazzo, imitating terrazzo anti-fire board, green tempered glass and stainless steel. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: The project covers a total of 600 square meters. TAGS: Interior, Office, Elite, Modern, Simple, Natural, Elegant, Showroom RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Except the area of three cubic glass boxes, the rest is flowing internal space which are built as "outdoor" by idodesign team.The ceiling, the floor and the wall keep gray concrete texture of the building. Naturally, the opening staff office and relaxing place would occupy some areas of the "outdoor" space. There is a undulating hillside beside the opening stuff office, which looks like a flying object existing in this space wrapped by reinforced concrete. CHALLENGE: What kind of the experience of office-displaying space can have an opportunity to change or affect people' stereotype of office space, which is a key challenging as well as an important opportunity for this case.
