| DESIGN NAME: Rapid Security Check PRIMARY FUNCTION: Self-Service Express Lane INSPIRATION: The rapid development and convenience of public transportation promotes the passengers' traffic increasing. Inthecaseofsubways and high-speed trains, due to the safe operation under high pressure. Ride in the peak hours, staff is relatively dense, safety and manage is relatively hard. Traditional security check procedures are mainly manual and complicated. With the development of technology, more convenient and self-service security express lane is the development trend. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: "Rapid Security Check" is a self-service security express lane to improve the efficiency of safety checkpoints on subways and high-speed trains. People push the box to walk as usual, the box directly pushed through the check machine. This design adopts two layers of check at the same time, small items can be placed in the upper. The machine conforms to the principle of ergonomics and can ensure smooth screening process. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Rapid Security Check consists of two layers of screening channels. When passengers go through it as usual, they can push the suitcase directly through the lower check machine. Small items can be conveniently placed in the upper channel, which ensures smooth security check process. PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project began in January 2020 in Fushun, Liaoning Province, China, and ended in November 2020 in Fushun, Liaoning Province, China. 2020 Goldreed Industrial Design Award, Xiongan New Area, Hebei, China. |
PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: This product shell production adopts sheet metal process, light weight, high strength, low cost, can be large-scale production; The working principle of the security inspection machine is the X-ray detection principle. SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES: 1500mm*650mm*1450mm TAGS: Security check channel, self-service, convenient, fast RESEARCH ABSTRACT: At present, subway and high-speed rail have become important means of transportation in China,which brings great convenience to people's life but also has some hidden troubles. Traditional screening machines use metal gates, which take two seconds to complete, but actually take longer for a variety of reasons. "Rapid Security Check" can realize self-service rapid security check during walking to meet people's travel safety and enhance consumers' happiness in using the product. CHALLENGE: For security facilities, it is necessary to consider the working principle of the operation process, such as the working principle of X-ray baggage security machine and how to systematically complete the whole process to improve the efficiency. NAME: Liaoning Petrochemical University（School of Art and Design） PROFILE: As the first petroleum school of New China, Liaoning Petrochemical University (LNPU) was founded in Dalian in 1950, relocated to Fushun in 1953 and renamed Fushun Petroleum Institute in 1958. When transferred to the governance of the Liaoning Provincial Government in February, 2000, the institution changed its name to Liaoning Petrochemical University with the approval of the Ministry of Education (MOE) in February, 2002. In March, 2010, a partnership agreement was signed between LSHU and Liaoning Provincial Government, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC), China Petroleum & Chemical Corporation (SINOPEC) and China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC). With the development for the past 69 years, LNPU has evolved into a comprehensive university, specialized in petroleum and petrochemical engineering with eight well-coordinated disciplines which include engineering, science, economics, management, literature, law, education and art. LNPU was graded as excellent in the 2007 MOE Undergraduate Teaching Assessment. Designated by the Ministry of Education, the university is now a training base for high-level ethnic talent and a preparatory base for ethnic undergraduates. Meanwhile it is a training base for urgently-needed undergraduate talent in petrochemical industry in Liaoning province. Up to now, this university has turned out over 120,000 graduates for China’s petroleum and petrochemical industry, most of whom have become backbones in management and technology. To achieve quality development, LNPU highlights key roles in talent cultivation by upgrading disciplinary structures and teaching resources, which has now greatly improved teaching efficiency and comprehensive strength. The university covers an area of 1890 mu (126 hectare), and a floor area totaled 532000m2. The campus library houses 2.9343 million paper or electronic books and 42 research databases. Various sports grounds cover 92.700m2. The teaching and research facilities reach 68 million yuan. The university consists of a college and 16 schools with 52 undergraduate majors. On-campus full-time students total 18,400. It offers 2 joint doctoral programs, 14 first-tier master’s programs, 62 second-tier master programs, and 6 master degree programs including Master of Engineering (covering 10 fields), Master of Business Administration (MBA), Master of Public Administration (MPA), and Master of Professional Accounting (MPAcc), Master of Translation and Interpreting (MTI) and Master of Fine Art (MFA). It is also listed as a first-class discipline (Grade A) university in Liaoning province. |
