PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Air Conditioning
INSPIRATION:
The design of Ario is inspired by the karst cave landform in Southwest China, which is my hometown. In the huge underground world there, the stalactites above and below the cave are connected by water. It is like another world, allowing people to breathe rare fresh air and slowly enjoy quiet in the humid air. These intentions become the creative inspiration of this work. The unique shape of hollow hills comes from these cave forms, which convey a strong Chinese aesthetic concept through the dislocation and symmetrical structure.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Airo is a small intelligent air conditioner. It integrates the three functions of air conditioning fan, purifier and humidifier. Different placement methods realize the switching of functions, reflecting a natural and fresh style; Continuously optimize the functions of 5g and AIG through different hardware connection modes; It meets a variety of use scenarios such as home, travel and office, and makes a new innovative attempt for the functional iteration of smart appliances in the future.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
Airo switches three functions with different placement methods. In the vertical state, it can turn on all functions at the same time. The mobile phone system can input the user's anonymous health information to bring a healthy air conditioning experience. The system reduces the investment in new hardware products, improves the availability of functions, and strengthens the concept of sustainable development of the United Nations.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
It was launched in Wuxi Jiangnan University in October 2018, completed in Wuxi Jiangnan University in November 2020 and exhibited in Shanghai in December 2020.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
Ario's technological innovation lies in the integration of functions and the use of software systems. It adopts the third generation ZigBee Internet of things system, man-machine two-way feedback system and deep learning technology system. Commercially, it provides functional iterations through the Internet membership model, matches the healthy demand for air conditioning, creates a new profit model, and brings users a sustainable and upgraded air conditioning experience.
SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES:
The dimension of Ario is 520mm wide, 110mm deep and 110mm high. Through the test, the design of its C-type filter element can filter 99.5% PM2 in air purification 5 particles.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
Airo is launched in the context of 5g technology and carbon neutralization. The main audience is young people. They pay attention to the cost performance of products, are also supporters of the current new trend, and are keen on low-carbon future products. Airo connects to the Internet through intensive function design to realize continuous function upgrading, so as to reduce the waste of resources in hardware production and provide more practical and beautiful situational experience.
CHALLENGE:
The structural design of the three functions is the most difficult. In the limited body space, we need to think about how to scientifically layout the functional hardware to achieve the best structural design effect and meet the aesthetic and functional needs of users.

By the end of 2020, the studio had won the title of Hangzhou's top 400 start-ups, held more than 50 publicity, cultural innovation and fan fairs, 20 kinds of original products, more than 300 online self-Media videos, and the cumulative broadcasting volume exceeded 30 million. The company's business and founder's deeds were reported by dozens of media, including people's network and Zhejiang satellite TV.
