PRIMARY FUNCTION: Restaurant
INSPIRATION: The restaurant was inspired by the prestigious museums and galleries of modern art.
The concept of the restaurant is food served looks like a work of art in a luxurious and private atmosphere
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The designer was looking to give the space a luxurious look along with a warm and inviting atmosphere that would reflect the personality of the chef. He designed a huge element of iron shelves with hidden lighting and a gilded back with texture to give the space a modern and artistic look. On the shelves are a variety of artefacts and tools that the chef has collected throughout his career. One of them, for example, is a statue of a shoe designed by Tom Dixon that the chef used as a serving tool to serve a dish to the Prime Minister of Japan.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Once you enter the restaurant you see the huge Iron Library that accompanies the entire restaurant space up to the gallery floor. The main element also hides all the service areas of the kitchen
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: The project is located in hertzlia City in Israel

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The Iron Library was designed using 3D models in order to achieve a level of accuracy that will allow all professionals to produce and assemble the element as it was designed. In all the hidden lighting we used a special lighting filter to get the right light color that would illuminate the library in the best way.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: When Chef Segev Moshe approached to the Designer, his request was to design the space of his flagship restaurant in a way that reflected his personality and created a place where he could implement all his fantasies, create and serve his dishes in an unconventional artistic concept, Inspired by art and design exhibitions from around the world, including art museums, exhibitions, galleries.
The designer looked to see how a work of art is presented and whether there are different approaches to presenting a work of art and what is the best way for me to execute the design vision for the project
CHALLENGE: The challenge was to create a formal atmosphere however personal and warm in a small space so as not to take the spotlight away from the restaurant's dishes.
