INSPIRATION:
The mountains are as much about the water as they are about the mountains; the mountains in Qionglai nurture the people and culture of Qionglai, and are an carrier of Qionglai. The abstract graphics are repeatedly overlapped using thin special paper, and the light shines through the bottle and the wine industry, creating the image of Qionglai's local Tiantai Mountains, and the overlap adds to its cultural weight.

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
Qiong wine, a National Geographical Indication product of China. The local mountain, water and climate conditions, situated at the eastern foot of the Hengduan Mountains, have created a cliff valley microclimate - the air is warm and humid with little flow, which is conducive to the reproduction of winemaking micro-organisms, and the local glacial meltwater, rich in potassium and strontium, is a raw material for winemaking, this wine is soft and mellow, sweet and refreshing.

When the consumer touches the bottle, the layers of the label have a special texture and feel of texture.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
The mountains of Qionglai have nurtured the people and culture of Qionglai, and are carriers of Qionglai. The Qionglai Bell and Drum Tower, the Hulan Pagoda and the map of Qionglai are abstractly drawn and incorporated into the main image of the packaging. The victory of the mountains is as much about the mountains as it is about the water.

CHALLENGE:
Thickness considerations for layers of paper are complex and they need to address the issue of print and whether the paper thickness is translucent.

Congratulations to Evan Chen, Lei Zhang and Tian Dong for their amazing work on the Qiong Niang Baijiu packaging design! This work is an excellent example of good design, and I am so impressed by the thoughtfulness and research that went into the design. The way they have used abstract graphics to represent the local mountain and water conditions of Qionglai is truly unique and inspiring. Their use of thin special paper to create the image of the local Tiantai Mountains and the overlaps to add to its cultural weight is a masterstroke. The incorporation of the Qionglai Bell and Drum Tower and Hulan Pagoda is a great way to add a sense of culture and history to the packaging. In short, this work is a great example of how design can be used to represent culture and how a great design can make a huge difference in the packaging industry. Congratulations again to Evan Chen, Lei Zhang and Tian Dong on their success!
