PRIMARY FUNCTION:
Hybrid Cruiser Yachts

INSPIRATION:
As the temperature in the Atlantic region rises and the power of waves increases due to rising water temperatures caused by global warming, large and small icebergs are divided into several pieces. Known as the world's largest iceberg, "A68" drifted to near South Georgia Island, and if it collides, it could endanger the food patterns of nearby wildlife and plants. Why don't you join the carbon reduction that protects the global environment from now on?

UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION:
"A68" is a model that presents the global future vision of electric hybrid cruiser yachts. The motif is the world's largest iceberg in terms of shape and spirit. It was designed to highlight the characteristics of EV models contrary to existing internal combustion engine yachts as much as possible, and tried to balance the two formative languages : "strength in neatness" and "great cycle of natural energy".

OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION:
Proportional adjustment to minimize the height of the hull minimizes the resistance value received by the hull from the sea, thereby maximizing the efficiency of the hybrid performance. The lower floor height due to the proportion of the hull has been reborn as a space where you can enjoy wide and comfortable cruising by applying a new concept interior design that breaks down the boundary between floors.

PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION:
The project was conceived in Seoul, the capital of Korea, between 2020 and 2021.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY:
Hulls to which CFRP materials developed with high-density special convergence technologies will be applied implement low weight/high strength and have a profound impact on the performance of hybrid motors. In addition, it is a material with high repulsive power to protect the inside of the ship from the impact of wind waves to maintain comfort and minimize rolling between controls.

SPECIFICATIONS / TECHNICAL PROPERTIES:
The 61m project, she can accommodate 53 guests and 17 crew members. The cruising speed is 18 knots and the maximum speed is 20 knots.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT:
All of us who have worked for eco-friendly carriers for a long time are missing something. It has fundamentally turned a blind eye to how human technology affects the global environment. Through this project, studied the form of throwing social messages about eco-friendliness to everyone beyond the design for technological development.

CHALLENGE:
Inspired by icebergs, this design eventually means compliance with Mother Nature. The focus was on making everyone feel the message through design. It is designed to convey its meaning not only to the silhouette of the hull but also to very small brackets.
