INSPIRATION: Having a living space that gives inner peace as a getaway from the city might be most working dream of bees. This project is a newly-constructed roughcast house; the designer applied the open-end method to increase transparency and brightness. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: Overall, the overall is spread out in a steady and peaceful tonal; different yet similar materials are decorated to create a rich and changing spatial vibe. Aside from calibrating the overall tonal, the designer applied the open-end method to create smooth traffic flow; each area is equipped with ample cabinets to satisfy the clients storage needs.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: This project is a newly-constructed roughcast house. Within the open-end space, the entryway greets users with metal hardware decorations while sculpting a transition area; meanwhile, the designer paired materials with different grains to echo the primary tonal. Stone veneer and the mottled marbles on the television wall are used to create a sense of steadiness, while corners are laced with darker colors to construct a progressive visual effect; linear-shaped lightings are also set up along the storage shelves to give the space delicacy.
CHALLENGE: This space is a newly-constructed roughcast house; since the owner is fond of dark colors but doesnt want the interior to be weighed down. The designer applied a comprehensive conception to allocate the ceilings, floorings, and walls comprehensively; meanwhile, materials in shades of grey are decorated while furniture in the same tonal is also placed. The metal chandelier and linear metal sidebar decorations outlined the divisions between various areas; their appropriate segmentation and arrangement have together delivered the perfect configuration for different functions.
