DESIGN NAME: Marsmarch
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Smart Robot
INSPIRATION: Manual delivery of hotel supplies is costly, while traditional delivery robots have low delivery efficiency and frequent loading due to inadequate cabinets and low intelligence. The solution of M-Robot with large capacity and multiple cabinets liberates the inefficient time of employees in delivery service and makes up for the defects of traditional hotel delivery robots, making it the best choice for efficient delivery in the hotel industry.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: M-Robot is a modular multi-cabin robot designed for hotels, which provides a more convenient, secure and private contactless delivery solution. With 9 cabins which accommodate items of diversified categories. It pioneers a multi-task concurrent scheduling system that achieves real-time optimal route planning and multi-order continuous delivery. In addition, it can get the takeout from the storage cabinet and send it to the room, thereby providing a contactless delivery throughout the process.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: M-Robot can be used for swarm collaboration via multi-task concurrent scheduling system, and can also be connected to the hotel intelligent service chain, where users can place orders through mini-programs or call the front desk, and the hotel front desk can also place orders for customers. In addition, it can be used with multi-cabin take-out storage cabinets. When the take-out staff put food into the cabinets, M-Robot can pick up and deliver the food by itself and call the user at the room.
PROJECT DURATION AND LOCATION: It was designed and developed in Beijing, China in September 2021, and was on sale in China in March 2021.

PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: Its body adopts eco-friendly plastics, whose surface applies spray painting process and primary colour casting, supplemented by four resistant processes. The modular cabinets and some of the components can be used universally without repeating diesinking. In addition, the mature technology for the development and production of its specialized chassis significantly reduces production development costs.

RESEARCH ABSTRACT: Study shows that the Chinese hotel industry consumes more than 300 million tons of plastic in disposables each year. With the release of the plastic restriction, hotels no longer provide disposable necessities on their own initiative, but the demand of needs has forced hotels to spend manpower on delivery. In addition, in the context of consumption upgrading and Covid-19 prevention and control, contactless robot delivery is gradually becoming an inevitable development trend in the hotel industry.
CHALLENGE: Low intelligence and low delivery efficiency are the main problems faced by traditional hotel delivery robots. M-Robot innovatively adopts the solution of multi-task concurrent scheduling system and large capacity and multi-cabin, with cloud control backstage, making swarm type multi-machine collaboration, cloud scheduling and autonomous efficient delivery possible.
