DESIGN NAME: The Multidimensional Lifestyle Transform
PRIMARY FUNCTION: Residential House
INSPIRATION: Inspired by the blue-prints, the designer transformed the design studio area on the first floor into a blue key wall, with numerous lines meeting at a common vanishing point. Beneath artificial light sources, the painted walls flash and the different materials dance. The layout accentuates the lines against the lights and shadows that reflect the contrasting wall colors. All of these design techniques shape a unique atmosphere, stimulating visitors′ imaginations to envision their future living space.
UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: This four-story house integrates the spatial designs of an interior design studio and a residence.
The interior of this project selected a multitude of original materials to overlap one another in arrangement, which responds to the specialty of this interior design studio. Thus, with slender lines dividing the entirety of the space, a profound spatial experience is created for users.
OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The design aims to emphasize the three principles of practicality, functionality and spatial efficiency, and to generally keep the consistency of white walls and wooden materials that exhibit the warmth of home. In the corridor area on the third floor, glass brick walls are used to create a translucent and ambiguous effect. With perpendicular linear segments, a connected yet penetrating visual atmosphere is featured.
