| DESIGN NAME: 040 Semi Detached PRIMARY FUNCTION: Model House INSPIRATION: The project continues JSCC's modern design approach, and gains new inspiration from western classical aesthetics. As approaching the project, the designers injected a simplistic classical aesthetic into the space, to endow it with a classical yet modern ambience. Grey and white are used as dominate hues, making the entire space pure and stylish, which can deeply touch the occupants. UNIQUE PROPERTIES / PROJECT DESCRIPTION: The project continues JSCC's modern design approach, and gains new inspiration from western classical aesthetics. The whole design features rich layers, and presents a neat and classy space. For the No. 040 Semi-detached House located on No.3 Yingbin Road, Zhengzhou, JSCC designed a modern space that pays tribute to classic and everlasting details and creates a concise, comfortable classical aesthetic and atmosphere. OPERATION / FLOW / INTERACTION: The design team tried the best to maximize the daylighting in every space and meanwhile creating smooth circulations. The master bedroom is well combined with the study, the living room, the walk-in closet and wet and dry bathrooms, to express the dwellers' sense of ceremony, life quality and taste and to increase the intimacy between people and space. The master bathroom has two washbasins, and features a material palette of marbles and wood. PRODUCTION / REALIZATION TECHNOLOGY: The design focuses on lines and proportions, and refines details and material combinations. The simplified lines enrich the three-dimensional layering of the space, and meanwhile reduce the heavy feeling of classical lines. With the extension of lines, a more relaxing and elegant atmosphere is produced in the interior. The open layout, along with marbles, brass and wooden furniture, shows the serenity and charm of simplicity. As approaching the project, the designers injected a simplistic classical aesthetic into the space, to endow it with a classical yet modern ambience. Grey and white are used as dominate hues, making the entire space pure and stylish, which can deeply touch the occupants. CHALLENGE: During construction process, the construction party tended to simplify some labor-demanding details on the design scheme, so the design team had to keep attention and supervise the construction site. Some materials and techniques might beyond the client's budget. In order to ensure the perfect execution of the original design concept, the design team needed to give timely suggestions to optimize details and materials, meet the budget limitation and the construction schedule.
